COTECCONS AIMS FOR AN ROE OF 12% IN FY2027 AND 15–18% OVER THE NEXT 2–3 YEARS
Ho Chi Minh City, October 30, 2026 – Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company (HOSE: CTD) announces its business results for Q1 of fiscal year 2027 (FY2027), recording positive growth in both revenue and profit. These results reflect Coteccons’ selective growth strategy, risk management capabilities and ability to execute large-scale projects amid an industry still facing input cost volatility, labor competition and increasingly high demands from clients.
Consolidated business results for Q1 FY2027
Net revenue in Q1 FY2027 reached VND 11,269 billion, up 51% year-on-year, achieving 27% of the FY2027 business plan. Revenue growth was supported by steady execution at key projects, together with a more effective approach to project selection and portfolio management.
Profit after tax reached VND 305 billion, achieving 29% of the FY2027 profit plan (excluding income from BCC, profit increased 3 times year-on-year). This is the highest net profit in 31 quarters, showing that Coteccons is converting revenue growth momentum into higher-quality profit and more sustainable operational efficiency.
While revenue grew strongly, inventories declined by 7% and short-term trade receivables increased by only 5% compared with the previous quarter. Meanwhile, the cash position reached nearly VND 10,000 billion, up 17% quarter-on-quarter.
Return on equity (ROE*) reached 8.4%, up 1.0 percentage points year-on-year. The company aims to raise its ROE to 12% by the 2027 fiscal year, and to 15–18% within the next 2–3 years.
Five FY2027 strategic priorities: operating compass for quality and sustainable growth
To realize its quality growth orientation, Coteccons has defined five strategic priorities for FY2027:
-
Elevating corporate governance & synergistic alignment via standardized operating procedures (SOPS)
-
Safeguarding high-quality growth in core construction & cultivating future growth engines
-
Human capital development
-
Brand equity enhancement
-
Strategic alliance & partnership expansion
These five priorities form an overarching action framework, helping Coteccons balance growth, efficiency, risk management and long-term development capability.
Backlog remains high, reinforcing medium-term growth visibility
Total contract awards in the first 3 months of FY2027 reached approximately VND 14,500 billion, lifting carried-forward backlog at the end of Q1 (30/9/2026) to VND 77,082 billion. This backlog provides a solid revenue foundation for the coming periods and reflects Coteccons’ competitiveness in a market with abundant demand but which requires contractors capable of delivering large-scale, high-standard projects.
In Q1 FY2027, Coteccons continued to be entrusted with key projects including:
- SYMPHONY 5
- HANGAR PHU QUOC
- BAI DAT DO URBAN AREA - S11
- MAISON PRIVÉE
- SAIGON BINH AN URBAN AREA - CT7
- LANCASTER LINCOLN
- MIK CỔ LOA
- NHA TRANG MIXED-USE URBAN AREA
- GIA BINH AIRPORT RESETTLEMENT AREA
- LV1 LOW-RISE ZONE - GLOBAL CITY
With a solid backlog, a quality project portfolio, proven execution capability and increasingly standardized operating systems, Coteccons enters the next phase with a clear positioning: selective growth, higher efficiency, and continuing to serve as the leading general contractor in raising the standards of Vietnam’s construction industry.
